Talk all you want Rampage, the results don’t lie.

Ahhhhhhh Rampage. Rampage, Rampage, Rampage. What can I say? If last night’s episode of TUF hasn’t cemented your crapiness as a coach, I don’t know what will. One of your best fighters was just put to sleep by a fighter that was 8″ smaller than him. I mean what the heck is with this trend of huge fighters getting owned by smaller fighters? Well this is besides the point. I may have let this go this morning and not rehashed how bad of a coach Rampage is if it weren’t for an article that I read this morning from Rampage stating how the show was edited to make him look bad and that Rashad Evans is a “fake” (http://mmabay.co.uk/Story%2003069.html).

One of the things Rampage discussed in the article was how Rashad is a by product of the show and because of this he knows how to act to play himself best towards the cameras. Yea Rampage, that’s what happens when you actually do a good job, you look GOOD. Instead of stepping back and looking at the writing on the wall, Rampage decides to make up excuses. It really gets on my nerves when people do this. I don’t like how Rampage makes it seem like there is no other possible explanation for Rashad winning and looking good besides the fact that he is arrogant and is being fake. He may be being fake Rampage, but you aren’t doing anything on the show to make us think he’s wrong. If you want to blame T.V editing go ahead, but there is only so much editing that you can do before it starts to become obvious, and watching the show it seems pretty straight forward.

If that wasn’t bad enough, the excuses Rampage gave for his first two fights made things horribly worse. First he said the reason why he paired Abe with John was because his assistant coaches told him that John had no BJJ and no stand up and that Abe would be able to take him on the ground. Then he said his assistant coaches for the second match told him that Wes had the best cardio of the entire team and was the best to take out James. Doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that the assistant coaches were terribly wrong on both counts. Now Rampage if you want to put this all on you assistants go right ahead, just know it doesn’t help you. Who is the head coach here? Them or you? YOU are Rampage. If you didn’t disagree with your assistants than you clearly didn’t understand any of your fighters, and after you saw that they were wrong twice that should be a sign that you need to reign in your team and your coaches and figure out what the hell is wrong. You did none of this.

Like I said before Rampge, talk all you want. But the results don’t lie. T.V editing can’t explain why your team is 0-5. T.V editing can’t explain why your assistant coaches were wrong twice in a row. T.V editing can’t explain why your own team admits that you are not made for coaching. Just own up to it Rampage. You said yourself that you aren’t a coach and that you don’t plan to be one when you’re done fighting. That’s FINE, but then don’t come waltzing up and try to blame everything on everyone else for your failure and for the reasons you look bad. If you want someone to scold for your performance and image, take a look in a mirror and then get back to us.
