UFC 107 Walk Out T Reviews

Hey guys, welcome to another one of my reviews. This time I’ll be talking about the UFC 107 walk out T’s for BJ Penn and Diego Sanchez. Overall I like the looks of both of them, however let’s go ahead and break down each one.

BJ Penn Just Scrap T – It sucks that the RVCA shirt that BJ Penn had is not going to be the walk out shirt because this one is not nearly as fun. It of course gets the job done. Very simple, very clean. It’s an advertisement shirt as I call it. Basically it’s not meant to harbor any fancy design but is more for the purpose of having BJ’s sponsors stand out on the shirt. Very similar to how Shogun’s walk out T was for his fight against Machida. There was nothing fancy, just the logo and then the sponsors. If you want to buy the shirt because it is what BJ walked out in by all means do so, but it’s def not a “showing off” shirt.

BJ Penn RVCA T – This shirt is NOT BJ’s walk out T, I thought it was but as someone pointed out to me it isn’t. Whatever I’m leaving my review of this up cause it’s a bad*** shirt. RVCA has been gaining a lot of steam lately and even with the UFC’s recent decision to ban them from any sponsorship opportunities it obviously is not stopping BJ Penn. I really like this shirt. Some have actually criticized the way the color is used on the shirt saying that it looks like it was made by a kid with finger paints, but I actually like it. It makes the shirt fun to wear and it pops really well. Not to mention it’s one of the more unique shirts that I have seen in MMA. What I have always liked about RVCA is that they capture the country or state they are modeling. Like with Fedor you could feel the Russian edge, with Vitor you could feel the Brazilian culture, and like with BJ’s shirt you take one look at it and think tropical Hawaii. When a shirt can make you FEEL, that’s a very good sign. Not to mention it’s $8 cheaper than Diego’s.

Diego Sanchez Bad Boy T – Bad Boy is also taking a simple approach to Diego’s shirt. Nothing big or flashy. Just the iconic Bad Boy eyes on the front with a cross on the back. I like the fire like color used, it puts a lot of energy into the shirt. Like the RVCA shirt this too can be worn anywhere and at anytime. A big thing for me on any MMA shirt is that it is wearable and this shirt does that job nicely. Diego’s name is a bit hidden sort of tucked away in the bottom of the back which may be a downside for die hard fans who want to show off that it’s Diego’s shirt. All in all thought not a bad design and not a bad buying choice.
